Blog about having premature ovarian failure and trying donor IVF with my sister's eggs

My friend Melina used to be married to someone called Adrian.  Together they were called ‘Lemonade’ – a rearrangement of their shortened names Mel and Ade.

Talking of lemonade; what would you call lemon marmalade – would it be lemonade or lemon marmalade?

And is there such a thing as lemon marmalade?  I’ve never eaten it before but it seems like a perfectly reasonable thing to make, to join the ranks of other delicious citrus marmalades, as well as more distant savoury cousins like red onion marmalade.

This topic has nothing to do with premature ovarian failure (thank goodness as sometimes I bore myself talking about it/thinking about it).

Instead it is to do with the ripening lemons on the tree in our garden.  They are just begging to be made into something delicious.  Other possibilities are limoncello and lemon curd but as I’m in a confiture-making kind of mood, marmalade sounds the most pleasing.

I would love to hear if you have tried lemon marmalade or made it yourself – and if so, what did you call it and is/was it as good as orange or lime marmalade?
