Go see an endocrinologist. Tests reveal Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) is sky high – shows my eggs are dead and buried and that future IVF cycles would be money down the drain

Scan for osteoporosis shows my back is already weakened by my depleted hormones, plus suffering from insomnia and anxiety

Prescribed hormone replacement therapy and vitamin D to fix my back and sleeping problems

Moved to Australia with my husband

Tried IVF but absolutely no eggs

Began trying for babies soon after I married at 36 in the UK. Went off the pill and began having hot flushes and my periods disappeared

Blood tests showed I was in early menopause
